About Community Medicine (Preventive & Social Medicine) Department

Goal

To evolve as centre of excellence in empowering the students to adopt the role of community physician and sustain community ownership strategy for health promotion and protection.

Objectives

At the end of the course the student shall be able to,

• Develop excellence in teaching-learning the subject of Community Medicine.
• Promote activist role in observance of principles of Primary health care.
• Emphasize on quality health care services with due consideration to community participation.
• Strengthen research in Community/Public Health.
